On December 3, the launching ceremony for the 12-inch container dedicated to the Chinese company by JR was held in Xiamen. The general manager of Xiamen Wantong Logistics Co., Ltd., who is responsible for the domestic operation of China-Japan Sea-rail combined transport, introduced: “The 12-inch container has a unique door opening design on both sides, wider width of the door width, and easier loading and unloading of goods. After the “Ocean Bridge” was opened, the sea transportation from Xiamen to Yokohama was undertaken by China Ocean Shipping Container Lines. The person in charge of the Dongdu Inspection and Quarantine Bureau stated that it will provide convenient customs clearance for entering the 12-inch container and implement an efficient customs clearance mode of “check and verify the terminal before inspection and apply for verification after batch inspection” when it arrives at Xiamen Port. At the same time, Xiamen Port's import and export goods can enjoy preferential measures such as electronic supervision, centralized inspection, and direct release within the framework of laws and regulations.
